Abstract
The effect of concurrent teaching styles on learning and
retention of tennis serve and smash stroke in volleyball.

The purpose of the study was to investigate the effect of concurrent teaching styles on learning and retention of tennis serve and smash stroke in volleyball .
The problem of the study was the teachers don, t use teaching styles in concurrent three styles .
The subject were (32) students enrolled in the second stage at the college of physical education at University of Babylon .
The researcher used experimental design , and divided the subjects into groups , control group that used teaching skills and experimental group that used thre teaching styles in the same teaching unit .
The results revealed that The Teaching programs Were effective on Students Learning and retention in Some Volleyball Skills The developing of percentage in three teaching styles Was the best of teaching skills .
Also , The best results was more retention when They were Learning in con current teaching styles .
The re commendations of the study are to use concurrent teaching styles for Learning Motor Skills . And the using of retention tests for measuring real Learning and Finally using concurrent teaching styles with more different games.
